Obituary --
Kenneth Marvin Nordmoe, 87, of Loves Park, IL, passed away Tuesday, January 9, 2024, at Javon Bea Hospital. Born April 11, 1936, in Ruby, WI, the son of Skognes and Lena M. (Kressin) Nordmoe. Veteran, serving in the U.S. Marines. He married Jo Anne Carey on October 13, 1956. Kenneth worked as a carpenter for many years, working at Pickens Construction until his retirement. Member of St. Bridget Catholic Church. Avid Chicago Cubs fan. Kenneth was excited to see them win the World Series. He loved sports and coached his kids at HCC. Kenneth had a great sense of humor, was a thoughtful and generous person who was also kindhearted. He was a family man who was happiest when he was with his family. Kenneth was always worried about everyone and didn’t want others to worry about him. Survivors include his wife, Jo Anne; son, Tim (Marilyn) Nordmoe; daughters, Dawn (Bob) Trewyn, and Shelly Giardono; previous son-in-law, Sam Giardono; son, Jay Nordmoe; daughters, Angie Nordmoe, and Deja Nordmoe; grandchildren, Nancy, Andy, Nicole, Alyssa, Micah, and Erin; numerous great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; sibling, Beverly Beck, Donnie Nordmoe, and Dorothy Kundert; numerous nieces and nephews; canine companion, Lucy; special friends, Ziggy and Mary Anne. Predeceased by his parents; daughter, Vicki Nordmoe; siblings, Eugene Nordmoe who passed away on Iwo Jima in World War II, Laverne Nordmoe, Gerald Nordmoe, and Delores Delaney; and brother-in-law, Bill Beck.
